The Energy Modeling, Analysis, and Control (EMAC) group is based at the University of California, Berkeley in the Energy and Resources Group (ERG). We address engineering, techno-economic, and social challenges to decarbonizing electric power systems cost effectively and reliably.
EMAC is led by ERG professor Duncan Callaway, and includes undergraduates, graduate students, and postdocs from a variety of backgrounds. We work with economists, planners, qualitative social scientists, environmental justice scholars, and engineers.
